Change in a life path is not always a welcome thing. Most people like things to stay the same, they feel secure this way. However if water does not move it stagnates and this is often the way with those who refuse change in their lives. They stand still, do not move on, vital life lessons go on learned.
Often we are upset, sad, frightened or angry when something changes in our life. Perhaps we lose our job, have to move home: so many different things can happen and more often than not we look at these happenings with a negative eye. Why? Negativity breeds negativity. We can't see the wood for the trees, the good things that could be out there waiting for us.
It is said that when one door closes another opens. If we can look at all of this with a positive eye then everything still changes but more positively. A move of home can bring new friends, new interests. A new job can do the same and sometimes more money!
Many things have changed for me in the last couple of years. With every change I learned something new. My life became fuller, more interesting. I had to stop running workshops and wondered why. I knew changes were in the air. I looked at the whole thing in a positive way and was grateful to have met so many incredible people, to have watched them learn and develop, to have learned so much from them but knew it was time to move on. Then I met a lovely lady ~ an excellent Medium ~ who took me into her development circle. She ruled with a rod of iron (sorry Effie ~ you have been wonderful!) and helped me to gather my spiritual talents together in a more usable fashion. Now over two years later I see just how much I have learned and realise how little I know!!! I still have a great distance to go but with Spirits help and Effies I will keep travelling my path of light.
The seasons in life move on, each in its own way and with its own wonderful beauties. One of my most favourite seasons is Spring when all things renew. All those beautiful flowers that are suddenly there bringing colour after the winter. Time to start planting seeds and organising the greenhouse. Watching as the tiny vegetables start to push their way through the ground. I look forward to reaping the benifits of home grown vegetables and fruit.
Probably my most favourite season is Autumn with the last of the harvest coming in and the leaves changing colour and falling to crunch under our feet. I absolutely adore this time of the year especially when the sun shines, the wind blows and there is the occasional smell of wood smoke. Such a busy time of the year gathering the hedgerow fruits and apples from the trees in my untidy but wonderful garden. Displaying the pumpkins and squash I have grown and freezing the last of the beans. Butternut squash (homegrown!) soup with home-made bread for tea. Apple pie, jellies, jams and sometimes wine to be made. A magical time of year to me.
Winter, despite the hazards and inconvenience of ice and snow has a incredible quality. Isn't it wonderful to sit indoors in front of the fire with a hot drink in your hand? Knowing that you are safe from the weather brings comfort to us all.
Summer is beatuiful with all its sunshine (Yes I do live in the uk!) and colour. Time to sit out and relax. Tea and sandwiches in the garden.
Look at all things in life and something positive within them. Doing this makes even the most difficult situation just a little easier.
